Security in Angell Town

High security doorsets from Multisecure are being used in new-build flat developments for Lambeth Housing Association to meet the requirements of 'Secured by Design'. Over 150 of Multisecure’s Blockade high security doorsets are being installed to communal and individual flat entries in various phased developments within Brixton’s Angell Town Estate. Multisecure worked closely with contractor Higgins to develop the best secure entry solutions within this ‘design and build’ contract. Multisecure was the first door manufacturer to gain ‘Secured by Design’ (SBD) accreditation with successful testing of a Blockade doorset to the latest PAS 23 and 24 test standards carried out at a UKAS test laboratory. SBD is a police initiative designed to encourage crime prevention measures in the design, development and refurbishment of buildings, applying to both residential and commercial properties. Blockade doorsets utilise composite timber constructions with flush facings in stained or painted finishes. These can be decorated with optional mouldings and glazed panels in a variety of styles. Frames are in hardwood, as used in the Angell Town projects, or the unique ARMACLAD system is available which upgrades any existing frame to high security. Fully finished Blockade doorsets are pre-hung in the factory, then supplied complete with seals and other accessories, including a choice of locks.
